My subject for this day is entitled Tamed Desires. My definition of a tamed desire is "wanting to do something but, you exhibit self control and refrain from what ever that desire is." Now once again that is simply my humble opinion so do not go and start quoting Webster's Dictionary on me.
Now last time I checked several studies "not sure which ones" but they show that it is not good to hold something in. Like dams and levees, there is only so much water that each can retain before the burst.
Now once the dams have busted, that is all she wrote. Now for those of us amongst the land of the living this hold back of things may cause,
Mental Unstableness you can take pills for that.
Depression hot damn you can also take pills for that.
Incoherent babbling, people will mistake as a seizure and send you to the hospital.
Random acts of violence (maybe not so random) possibly jail if you are not smart enough to get away with it.
My personal favorite. Occasional bouts of insanity
Last but not least the developing of relationship with your "friends" that only you hear.
So you ask "How does one stop this blockage?"
Glad you asked. The following will not work.
So follow me down the road of logic. I am going to use my years of education, because I have a Master's Degree in Psychology (NOT) When your pores are clogged what do you do?.... Unclog them
When your tired you?..... Sleep
When Hungry You ?..... Eat
When annoyed you?..... Remove the annoyance from your life
Are you folks following along? Excellent glad you are. So my remedy for this is to express your tamed desires. Now we must be careful on how we act, because we live in a world of hypersensitive idiots who are quick to assume and even quicker to file a law suit for some form of ridiculousness that was exaggerated. Though we are working on releasing those desires it would not help much if you lost your job due to some form of harassment that someone took the wrong way.
Unless you are like me were being an "asshole" is just a part of your natural charm and people expect these sort responses and actions then be caution. Don't just shock them by throwing them in a pool of cold water. EASE them into it. Or at least give them a disclaimer before you release the tamed desire.
Often when I tell people what my tamed desires are I feel a lot better. Though they have a look of puzzlement on their face. Example I am talking with a friend and their conversation is boring and going nowhere. So I interject myself and tell them that "I would greatly appreciate it if they would go somewhere and vomit and then go lock themselves in the refrigerator " Granted I wanted to do that but I would not do to well in jail.
Though with this tamed desire it is generally expressing itself through a form of sarcasm, it is just fuckin fun sometimes to say " You know I really don't fuckin like you " If not said before it is too late you might end up like Bernadine played by Angela Basset in Waiting To Exhale. We are all familiar with this classic scene.
Of course we all know what happens in a movie can only be done in a movie without having a visit to the local police station, and maybe the local jail. Just ask the Clara Harris in Texas who ran over her husband twice in the one hundred thousand dollar Benz that he paid for. Not once but twice to make sure his ass was dead excuse me it was three times. I wish I could get a picture for it, but no pictures of the damage S-Class.
I have realized that my last two examples have been of women. Having said that if you are a woman reading this, you are more successful at expressing your tamed desires. Men on the other hand they don't care. They just open up to much and take everything insight. Think about most mass killings in public places. All done by men. As we digress here. I am loosing focus.
(Go Figure As I am typing this another wife has just ran over her husband. Men if you cheat, stay the hell away from your wife while she is driving. Well in general for that fact)
I have lost focus. So what U have learned was let those tamed desires go before it is too late. BUT (Always has to be a but somewhere which changes everything) Exercise your common damn sense people.
I believe I am finished. My next topic will be TAKE A BATH DAMMIT
It is mighty interesting most of my most creative thoughts come from me sitting idle. Well let us begin.
Todays weather forecast " Torrential Downpour visability about half a mile.
Everytime it rains I have the desire to just go run and play in the rain. It must be from some memory I had with my Aunt/Kindergarten teacher woudl let me play in the rain when I was at her house.
Some people do not like the rain, and damn near rupture an aneurism over something that is essential to life. I'd prefer to rupture nothing over something I can not change.
As we move back to my "flash back". As I remember it was quite fun playing and dancing in the rain. If memory serves me correct I do beleive that my Aunt was out there with me doing the samething. Shortly after the rain finished it started to hail. Yes in Phoenix, AZ it was hailing for you earth conscious people it was probably before global warming started to show its effects.
Well when the rain turned to hail, it was my first time seeing ice fall from the sky. I thought ice only came from the machine in the refrigerator. I was more so impressed with being able to say "hell" and not be punished for it more so than seeing the "hell" from the sky. Well my Aunt got the ingenious idea that we should collect the ice so we started putting containers all over the place to collect the ice and then ate the ice when the containers were full. As Indie Arie said "It's The Little Things"
So next time that it rains damnit I am letting my inhibitions go and I am "Dancing In The Rain". For the record an hours has passed and it is still raining.
Once again it looks more enticing to run and jump through the glass window. As soon as I mention that. The damn rain stops "Go Figure"
There is always room for a little thunderstorm in nature as there is in life. Just like there is always room for the calmness and cleanliness that comes after that storm. Too much of either is bad, the right balance though makes for an interesting story one day.
Well this is completly on a different topic, but I like how I eneded the general blog so you folks out there will just have to make some sense of it.
Part II is First Impressions, Religion and Karma
People and assumptions. It was in a movie that said a funny quote, memory serves me correct which it should, because I have been taking my ginsing, or ginko bilboa or some other conglameration of pills to do this that and the other. I think it was Under Seige: Dark Territory and it was some man who said "Assumptions is the mother of all fuckups" ha ha ha I damn near died on the floor. Well at times I think that statement is wrong, because if your first impression is accurate then it may save you from some unfortunate mishap, whereas if you were (In the words of my ever so wise Uncle Mac (Buck to others) "Fat Dumb and Happy" Thinking the best of everyone you are now apart of that mishap. Having said that generally my first impressions of people are reasonably accurate.
I have noticed though that once that opinion has been formed speaking for myself of course, generally it is the foundation of the relationship with that person meh or the lack thereof. I do not go out of my way to change it, even through simple acts of kindness chances are that it will not change. So maybe it is something on my part that I need to change? I am happy with myself so I would rather not.
DISCLAIMER MOVING ON TO RELIGION AND KARMA
First I shall speak on religion. Now this is a touchy subject I am religious and so is my family and I do believe in God and have faith and all that other stuff. As I was writing this I was thinking "hhhmmmm there are sixty-six books in the bible one number of from being the number of the devil" Granted if there were 666 books in The Bible, thats a lot of fuckin reading that I am sure most lazy ass people will not do. So the whole world woudl really be screwed, and the gates of hell would be wide open.
(This picture would scare the shit of me which according to my dear cousin Ron its not a hard thing to do)
Within that book though there were wonderful stories filled with amazing descriptions and miraculous miracles. Then came the rules and the punishment. Now follow me, we know that God did not sit on the rock somewhere and right this thing by his lonesome. It is understood that he ad inspired others to write this book and when all the stories combined we get sixty-six books. I like to think of it as a seris of Tom Clancy novels sometimes lmao. Lets add some common sense to this though, God has inspired a lot of people to write books last time I checked there were no addition of chapters to The Bible since Juvemeber. I know several people who have written books that were inspired by God, I do not see them anywhere in The Bible. " OK I am through laughing at this stuff I have come up with back to the blog".
I feel as if though there were certain parts of The Bible that were conceived to exhibit a non direct control over people. I mean we are a fairly religious society and if you want to control someone how do you do it? Through religion most of the time I mean most cults start with some vague concept of The Bible and next thing you know, they are off somewhere killing themselves.
God may have inspired The Bible but my question is has he inspired the changes and additions made to The Bible? (Feel Free To Answer) Which is where the subject of faith enters which is a whole different book that I will not even begin to participate it. I will keep it simple and just say that I do have faith. Moving on.
Having said that I have gone from seeking out all the rules of The Bible to living by the common theme that I have noticed throughout The Bible. The themes that have jumped out at me are compassion, love, kindness, fairness, honesty, forgiveness and INTELLIGENCE. If we spend so much time focusing on how to live in accordance with what has been written that is a form of selfishness. Where if we focus on just living those aforemention themes it is something that we all will benefit from.
"I had something profound to say here but I forgot what I was going to say so I will leave it up to you all"
ON TO KARMA
Karma is believed that what "goes around comes around". Now does that mean every little think or is Karma selective? Excuse me while I get descriptive. If I cut you off in traffic, then you pull out a gun and shoot me. Is Karma comming for that ass while I get a slap on the hand? Or would my Karma be getting shot ? Or is Karma equal opprotunity and like an "eye for an eye" type stuff. Then I wonder is Karma's ultimate chess move death?
I think I am asking to many questions I feel a headache comming on. WRONG I just needed to stretch HORRAY !
Karma I suppose does nto have to be anything tangible It could be a missed opprotunity or something that you would never know about, but if you never knew about something and never given the change to experience it. Could it really be karma? Then this also ties back into religion and I have already spoke my peice on that subject. So here is my "Jerry Springer Final Thought" Life indeed is a big circle, but it does continue on just not with you. When you have made your complete three hundred and sixty degree turn. It is time for you to check out. There is no passing "GO" a second time.
Well I believe that I have jumped around enough. We have have traveled from "Dancing In The Rain", to "Assumptions" with a hint of self reflection, to "Religion" and closed with "Karma" and closed with self resolve.
Now to proof read this bad boy.............. Well Shit Da Bed I only had 5 errors.
What Does The United States Flag mean to Me
My flag means that we are all united together, no matter where we have come from because we are all legal citizens of the United States of America. It means that we can not seperate ourselves based on nationality, because we put that all aside when we all became citizens of the United States of America. It means that our country does have it flaws but it is like a marriage you do not give up on it. You just push harder for change because that is our obligation as members of the United States of America. It means holding the people who run it accountable for when they mess up, because that is our obligation as citizens of this country.
"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...
There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
--Theodore Roosevelt, 1919
I find myself trying to maintain somewhat of a positive note with my blog. For the record I would like to state that I think I ate an old piece of sandwhich meat, and now my tounge is somewhat irritated. As we digrese...
Hold on though, I sit and think about the word blog and the damn word just sounds so negative. I would like to know the genius who came up with that word "blog" it rhymes with "blob" which is what happens when you spend to much time blogging perhaps ?
Slob rhymes with blog also, and you know I do not think that has any posotive conontations with it either, let us consult a picture for confirmation. Go figure the appropriate picture will not upload TRAGIC.
Back to my main subject. Conversation With Clouds. Well I was sitting in training class and I sit by this large window. The funny thing about windows is that sometimes you have a tendency to look out of them. Generally though I keep the blinds closed because the heat from the glass gets a kid hot and not in the right way. Well it is about 845 MST and I am sitting looking through the window conversating with the clouds. Wondering the path that they have come from, the things that they have seen and the various shapes and colors that they have taken over their journey. Whom they have affected? Whose lives have the clouds changed? What new form of life was created because of these clouds?
The conversation that my mind had with the clouds allowed me to also explore the various shades of purples, blues peach and white that were created as the sun was setting and telling this part of the world goodnight. I sat and just admired how beautiful the world is, without the aid of any TV or video games. It is like watching the Discovery Channel's "Planet Earth" seris ( I hope spell check catches that word). The shapes are so three dimensional I feel as if I could walk through the glass and go play in the clouds if I feel so desired. At that exact moment it would have been a bit more exciting than sitting in the class. Though walking through the glass may pose a few risk. Thank goodness I am on the first floor or someone would say I was trying to commit suicide then have me commited. Though I have a feeling that me being commitmed may not be a bad idea according to some. Well that is besides the point, let us focus back on the clouds.
Well the sun and the glow are gone and now I am left with different shades of grey and black and now a two dimensional blob (blog) of mass. I suppose it is now someone elses turn to have a conversation with the clouds.
Since I am in training class, I figured it would not be a good idea if I whipped out my camera and started snaping away at clouds. It is like attending church and you start taking shots because the sermon is so boring. Though it may be true, that is just not how you do things.
Hopefully when the sun is setting or even rising for you early risers, or the weather is in transition. You stop and have a conversation with the clouds and let your mind wander put a smile on your face and enjoy.
The location for these pictures were in the State of Arizona, State of New Mexico and the State of Oklahoma
I am sure that most of you have heard about the poor man (bless his heart) whom was ran over, and no one had done anything to help the man. What I do find funny...... well maybe not funny but ironic or even tragic, is how people are responding to this "Inhumane Act". I have read many post on how people are "so jaded" calling peoepl "self-absorbed" and it goes on. Personally, I would have dialed 911 and waited with the person and that woud be the extent of my humanity. I figure if something happens, yes there are such laws that prevent the lawsuit of "Good Samaritans", but that does not prevent the the party of the deceased/injured in attempting to file lawsuit against you. A little reserach gives a general rule for the Good Samaritan Law. "Laws for first aiders only In most jurisdictions, Good Samaritan laws only protect those that have had basic first aid training and are certified by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, American Safety and Health Institute or other health organization. In other jurisdictions, any rescuer is protected from liability, granted the responder acted rationally."
Then my thought, is on all of the people who have posted comments about the atrocity of the worlds and what they would have done to aided the person is, would they have actually done it? In my humble opinion the time to help out someone is not on their death bed, or when they have had a tramatic period in their life.
The time to help someone is all the time, perhaps by trying something groundbreaking such as.....are you ready ? Getting off that goddamn cellphone and hold the door for the person behind you that you would not have noticed if you were on the phone.
Smile at someone as you walk by you it will not hurt. If someone smiles and says "Hello" let us not forget what we had learned in primary school, you would say hello back.
Take the time and greet the person (using their name on their NAMETAG) who is serving you your Starbucks drink, checking you out at the local grocery or department store, the person at your fast food resturaunt (yes it is hard to believe but they are people also) and we should treat them as so and not as if they are the scum of the earth because they have to smell like over processed food when they leave their job.
I find there is no need to wait for devestation to be kind to people. Kindness should be a way of life not a privilage.
Well I Am Finished With My Thoughts
